THE TRANSFORMATION
This Cromer home underwent a complete renovation and extension, introducing a new master suite, bathrooms and open-plan living areas. Wraparound balconies, a swimming pool and expansive outdoor entertaining decks created a stronger connection between the home and its surroundings. Vertical timber cladding and matching decking brought a consistent natural finish to the entire renovation.
CONSTRUCTION CHALLENGES
Building in a high flood-risk area with limited rear access presented significant construction challenges. The existing upper floor was out of level, requiring extensive propping and re-levelling before the new structural steelwork could be completed. Two established palm trees were also retained, with the new decking and overhanging eaves carefully constructed around them to preserve their place within the outdoor living areas.
